The New England Patriots do not have fans who dress up in civil war uniforms. The patriots were in the REVOLUTIONARY war (you know, where the Unites States started after separating from England in 1776).
The most interesting fact about American Football Fans is that with only a few teams (mostly in major cities), many fans cheer for a team many miles away. The Dallas Cowboys were considered "America's Team" for many years. I'm a Kansas City Chiefs fan and never been to see them in person.
