I'm not sure there is. Most of it (that I've heard) is damn' good.
But the cost of marketing and advertising stops it getting a release in the UK.

I guess that didgeredoos are somewhat expensive in the UK, too, which must make playing those songs somehwat costly.

I just tend to like what I like and don't really pay attention to where the band/artist are from

Yeah, that's fine. But you don't actually get to hear Australian bands in the UK, unless you go looking for them specifically.
Tell me, which of these bands have you heard of?
The Whitlams
Powderfinger
You Am I
Silverchair
Spiderbait
Thirsty Merc
The Cat Empire
Ben Lee
Pete Murray
Paul Kelly
Eskimo Joe

I've heard of Powderfinger and if by Silverchair you mean the early 90's grunge band I quite like them

Indeed I do...but you've probably heard of 2 more bands on that list than 99.9% of people in the UK...cos they don't get played on the radio.
But they're all good.

A Super Furry Animal Posted Oct 8, 2007
Yeah, but I was trying to go for ones that haven't actually been played on the radio in the UK!
Yes, I know most of those...haven't heard any Cold Chisel though. And obviously I have about 12 Midnight Oil albums.

RF, with all those Oil albums maybe George Bush should have invaded your place instead of Iraq..you have a massive oil well...
Cold Chisel was fronted by Jimmy Barnes..a big hit for them was Cheap Wine, and Khe Sahn...does that ring a ding a bell for you....
