Hi Emmily. Iv'e just found WW2 and found My Space is on there.I don't know how it got there. I don't mind, but I wasn't born until after the war,and it's not about that subject, so I'm wondering if it is the right place for it. I have written a poem about Remembrance day which I can submit there, which would probably be more suitable. All the best. From Pamela.

It might be something to do with the BBC going over to a single sign-in, which means you can be a member of other forums (fora?) without having to sign up individually. How did you find out. Is it on your page.
I suppose there's nothing to say that you have to put anything on it.

I found it on Google. A friend of mine has set up a web-site for my poetry, and told me it's on the search engines. I was checking it out. I entered Pamela's Poems and found My Space on "WW2- The People's War" As I said, it's not really suited for there, but it's up to the editors if they want to leave it.
About this single log-in. When I write on Radio 2 message board, which I do occasionally, I use a different nick-name. Will I still be able to do that ? From Pamela.

That's true, Lightman, and what I said in my initial response.
However, when I put 'Pamela's poems' into google, this link came up:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/ww2/U235511
*not* http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/U235511.
Odd!

Hi! (gosh, us ACEs really do come in swarms, don't we )
With the SSO, you'll find that you will have nickname [which you can change in 'preferences'] in any of teh DNA sites (like h2g2, WW2 and all the others) but when you post to a message board, what you entered as being yor name in your personal details will be shown
Hope that helps
Oh, and where the poems show up will depend on where Pamela decided to publish them

....and it says on Pamela's page that they are on h2g2....
I think that link is just to Pamela's u-space. If that's the link that google threw up, it's probably because anyone who signes up with a DNA community has a space on all of the DNA communities, no matter what one they originally signed up with and google just spotted the 'Pamela's poems' text on her u-space Google must just prefer the WW2 community

All O.K. I've managed to get my entry on WW2 now.I was trying to put it in the My Story section but couldn't get it there. Had to put it on a contributions page. Maybe, because My Space is there. The My Story page may be for New Posters.???From Pamela.

Oh, well done, Pamela. I had an internet TV to start with and found it very limiting. I couldn't do much, so now I've a proper computer, which is much easier to use.
