I'm not...going to apologise for being in love. Although I unreservedly apologise for talking about it in an inappropriate place
I'm not...going to try to put my feelings "on hold". I've been through too much as a child suppressing my emotions, and too much resultant therapy, to deny what my heart tells me.
I'm not - going to get dragged into name-calling of other researchers. Certainly not in a public forum. I have no hate or malevolence for anyone, and I truly hope that everyone can find happinness someday.
I'm not - going to discuss past relationships on site. Celebrating new ones is a different matter.
I'm not - naive enough to expect that those reading this rational and analytical statement from my defiant inner self will change their views.
I'm not - going to log into hootoo anymore.
Goodbye, and may your God go with you.

Oh dear.
There is obviously a lot of hootoo history going on here that I know nothing about, but I find it upsetting that you feel a need to leave h2g2 because of other researchers. After all, it's a big site.
I am subscribed to your journal entries as you are on my friends list, and I read them with much interest though seldom reply as you and I don't tend to cross paths a lot elsewhere on hootoo. I guess I felt a bit like I'd be 'butting in' if I started posting on your journal entries (though I have done so occasionally, to wish you well with various projects, dance stuff, etc).
So, I have no idea which new or old relationships you are referring to.
Having said that, I find it quite upsetting that other researchers have driven you to this. Because you are such a bright light here and I've always been impressed with your posts.

Well, having quite a 'defiant inner self' myself, I think I can relate to what you are saying, even though I don't know the details. But I'd also like to say that as you are a 'defiant' and rather 'feisty' person, why let a few idiots get you down?
<>
Hmmm . . . I'm now regretting that we never took the opportunity to chat more together here as it sounds like we've had quite similar past experiences and that you are someone I'd like to get to know better. Being quite 'feisty' myself, I tend to not let past experiences overwhelm me too much, but realise there is a lot to be learned from them.
Well, if you'd ever like to chat you can reach me at my hootoo email address which is: azaharh2g2 (at) yahoo (dot) com.
Meanwhile, take care.

Let me just say something that's been on my mind.
In the first few weeks, RF had said he was leaving hootoo. So, false sense of security, I posted what I liked.
When he returned, it took me a few days to "catch on", and when I did, I apologised for tactlessness, and took my thoughts over to my journal.
When even *that* proved too provocative, I pulled back as far as I could, and tried not to log in at all. But the lure of hootoo is strong. The observant among you will have spotted that my recent posts have been few and far between, and restricted to uncontroversial subjects.
Not an excuse - just some contextual background.

I am glad you are both still around and am sure that the matter will blow over quite soon.

Well I like you both, your both clever and witty and have much to contribute all over the show, here and other places.
It's a shame you both didn't work out together, but thats it - stuff happens.
There's gonna be some tangles n' snarls but it'll work out allright in the wash.
New beginnnings and fresh starts to both of you...RF and LS
