Lucky Llareggub - no more cannibals in our village, we ate the last one yesterday.. Posted Sep 25, 2007
My back wheel's gone a bit wobbly. I hope I don't need a new one. I've put the bike away now until spring. I don't do cycling with lights or in the dark. The nights will be drawing in soon.
I did a half-marathon run round a lake two weekends ago. That was ok.

I love lighting up. I even wear the reflexives.
New lights are so incredibly bright! Talk about bobby-dazzlers.

Guess what?
You're so right!
Front wheel now has re-inforced tyre + new inner tube and I've pumped the back wheel full of "slime".....

Just had a look at the link Rev. Nice tyre but (and I hate to brag!) I've got 28" er, wheels.

Only up to 26" according to your link.
Anyway on a day like this I'd only venture out on a penny farthing!
Hope there's no more flooding in the UK - enough is enough for this year/decade/century.

Of course they go bigger (and smaller). That page is one in a longish list, some tyres being made in a few sizes, some in many.

I found Schwalbe Marathon tyres resistant to puncturing and slow to deflate to the point of unrideability when they did. The retro-reflective sidewall was another excellent feature. On the downside, their sizing did leave a bit to be desired: I've taken layers of skin off my thumbs putting them back on the rims: it was just as well punctures were a rarity as they were so hard to fix! On the whole, I prefer my current Specialized Hemisphere Armadillos.

I'm a cyclist.
For the purposes of cycling to university, I got a Ridgeback a couple of years back. It's sturdy enough for me not to feel intimidated in traffic, so I love cycling round this city

I'm a cyclist!
I average 42 miles a week cycling to work ( I work at night, so have all the lights and foul weather gear going), a few yaers ago (4/12/06) I was coming to work and was knocked off my bike by a taxi leaving a side road, I contacted one of these tv no-win-no-fee firms and the case is just about to go to court, all I wanted was the cost of a new bike (£125) cos the impact bent the left pedal shaft so much that it wouldn't clear the bike frame at the bottom. Luckily I managed to 'kick' off of his bonnet and sustained no injuries, THANK GOD, I was wearing my helmet, which cracked just above my left ear where I hit the pavement the other side of the road.
On the up side I have found that since cycling to work in all weathers ( I don't drive ) that I don't get any colds (at all).
