Well BBone I have bad news for you. We are down to the last song in the last round where people are assigned songs. Round 4 "The Sweet Sixteen".
But you may be lucky because that match-up was assigned last Friday to a fellow australian who hasn't responded yet. So if you are faster...here it is: "Imagine" by John Lennon vs. "Smells like teen spirit" by Nirvana.
Thanks for making it here.
The next 3 rounds are everyone votes for all match-ups rounds!

"Smells like teen spirit" is the winner
"Imagine" is just too weak a song. "Smells" has got more guts to it.

Pick a winner of each of the following match-ups by the end of the day Friday:
Bracket 1
16.Love is the Drug – Roxy Music
7.Johnny B. Goode – Chuck Berry
Bracket 2
1.Satisfaction – The Rolling Stones
14.Bridge Over troubled Water – Simon and Garfunkel
Bracket 3
1.Jailhouse Rock – Elvis Presley
3.Smells Like Teen Spirit - Nirvana
Bracket 4
9.Brass in Pocket – The Pretenders
14.Once In a Lifetime – Talking Heads
Then everyone's votes will be tabulated and we'll come up with our "Final Four"!
Thanks

Hey BBone you have to vote and save GreyDesk's neck. One of the brackets ended in a tie. He couldn't choose between the 2 in that very bracket. So if one more person doesn't vote, I'll have to ask him to finish his voting. (he might )

HERE'S THE CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH!!!
After 62 matches the final two left standing are a bit of a surprise to me, being that they are both from the very beginnings of Rock n Roll in the 1950s. There is an arguement for many other songs to be here other than these, but somehow it seems fitting that two of the founding fathers should face off for the title.
So here goes-
Johnny B. Goode – Chuck Berry
vs.
Jailhouse Rock – Elvis Presley
Thank you for making this so much fun!

The winner of the first "Harvey's Rock Era Song Tournament" is...
ta...da...da...daaaaaaaaaaaaa!
"Jailhouse Rock"
Still the "King" after all these years!
It's been posted on the tournament page. But RL has gotten in the way of me contacting everyone who participated. I want to thank each and everyone of you from the bottom of the "Diamonds on the souls of my shoes" to the top of my "Bang your Head"!!!
Thanks so much!
What's that Harvey? Oh he says Elvis has left the building.
