of course these extra symptoms have nothing to do with the medication, after all, the doctor said so.
having said that, when my doctor threw me out of my surgery for reacting badly to the medication (amitryptiline) I went out on the net and looked for these problems, and then gave results a write-up on my website.
see http://www.xyroth-enterprises.co.uk/amitript.htm for a summary and links.
While I would love to be able to give doctors the benefit of the doubt about these things, I find that most don't deserve it.

I sympathise with you xyroth. My experience of prescribed meicine for depression is pretty negative. My current doctor is very kind and supportive but I know that a lot depends on me staying away as much as I posibly can and also being as objcetive and factual as I can if I do visit.
The first lot of tablets I took was over an year ago and they were terrible. I couldn't keep still, concentrate or lose a constant sense of strong anxiety. I walked so much in an attempt to get relief that I'm expecting a bill from the highways department for wearing a groove in the roads here.
Personally I am sceptical about medication and think a lot is to do with the mind of the sufferer. I also suspect that the side effects are so bad for some people that depression seems mild by comparison.
I found out that one set of tablets thatI was given had a half life of 12 hours so they were in effect addictive and some people had become addicted as well as suffering peculiar brain shudders.
I could write a book about the negative effects but as I said earlier it isn't helpful. Tablets do work for a lot of people and depressed people do tend towards hypochondria so any negative symptom described for a specific drug could act like auto-suggestion.

so don't mention the specific side effects for specific drugs.
mention instead that most drugs have side effects, and if they are too unpleasent then go back to your doctor and change to something else.
that should cover it.
