Hi, Mistadrong!
This looks like a vey useful appendix to your entry on overcoming depression. Well done!
Remember, though, that if this becomes an Edited Entry it will probably appear on the Front Page at a later stage than the main entry, and therefore it needs to be able to stand alone. For this, I would suggest two changes:
Change the title to 'Medication for Depression'
Put in an introductory paragraph explaining that there are many approaches to overcoming depression, and that medication is just one (though a very important one). If you have the link to the main entry at that stage rather that at the end I think it would make the entry stand alone more easily.

Hi Mistadrong!
It may also be worth mentioning how addictive some of these drugs are and the difficulties some people have coming off them.

As a stndalone entry, it has the problem that it makes the case for medication, but mostly ignores the case against.
Nice write up about the different types though.

Hi, Mistadrong!
I just wondered whether you agree or disagree with the various suggestions that people have made.... there doesn't seem to be any change in the entry itself.

I've only just become aware of this thread.
I wrote the Medication as a result of the response of those in the medical profession to the article, Overcoming Depression who are pro-medication.
Perhaps you can bear with me a little while I consider the above responses and amend accordingly?

I commented again because I think this is one of the better entries still around from more than a week ago.
Good luck!

However, I see there are still issues to be resolved.
Do post when you've made the amendments, Mistadrong!

Ok, that's it.
I haven't amended it much except to put in the new link to the edited version of Overcoming Depression.
I don't think its helpful to elaborate too much on the negative side of the medications. Depressed people are very vulnerable and it would be a shame to destroy someone's faith in the drug that they might be taking.

I would like to see an opening paragraph in line with Azara's suggestion earlier:
'Put in an introductory paragraph explaining that there are many approaches to overcoming depression, and that medication is just one (though a very important one). If you have the link to the main entry at that stage rather that at the end I think it would make the entry stand alone more easily.'

....
Sorry if it sounds as if I'm nagging, but I really think you need to change the title itself - at the moment, 'Medication for Depression' is only in as a header inside the entry. The title just says 'Medication', which is not really suitable - I can think of entries on lots of other conditions (epilepsy and diabetes, for example) and the title should make it clear which condition is being medicated.
(and apologies again if I sound like a nag!)

The Entry looks pretty good to me! The Overcoming Depression Entry is great, and this is a useful supplement to it.
I've recently been put on a course of one of those new SSRIs - citalopram hydrobromide, brand name Cipramil. I can vouch for the increased anxiety , dry mouth and insomia side-effects, but I'm sticking with the treatment for now!
But one other strange thing that's happened since I've been taking the tablets is that I've seriously lost my appetite. I keep forgetting to eat, because I'm just never hungry! I'll be seeing my this week and I'll mention it to her. Of course, it may have nothing to do with the medication, but it does seem an odd coincidence!
