h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I'm guessing I should request my Temple first, then set it up. I'd like a Sacred Silver Sheltie Temple. A place where I can be properly worshipped as the Sheltie Goddess, where Shelties will always have plenty of to herd, and where creatures of any sort may seek refuge as long as no one tries to eat anyone else for lunch.

I can certainly grant you that temple . When you do set up your temple, tell me and I'll put it on the page. All I request is a link on your temple page and or your space .

I'm still new at h2g2 (joined this week), and I've been trying to figure out how people do things like set up a whole page with a temple or a community or some silly cause, like the ones I've joined. Should I do it as a guide entry?

That is the way, yes. Or you can just put a paragraph on your Personal Space. About the linking bit, I'm not sure if you just type in an A- number it'll link, or if you have to give the full blown URL. In any case, The A- number for the Avenue is A661961 - try it and see if it works.

It works. I shall let you know just as soon as my temple is open for worship. I saw a bunch of guys moving marble down the street, and it's exactly what I ordered, so I guess the building has begun.

If you want to do that quick link thing, you do <./></.> around something like Welcome-Newcomers or online. But for A- numbers and U- numbers, it automatically generates the hyperlink- you don't have to do anything except type it in, for example, all I have to do to get a link to my personal space is type in my number- U185550
