*HDS shakes with repressed laughter at that Roadkill charector*
Put him on a sit com, so that I don't watch him, as I preffer the Sci-Fi and History channels Bwah-Ha-Ha-Ha!

*Thinks: My presence must be infectious! People are laughing around me, and for once, not /at/ me! I must be the God of Mirth!*
ALL HAIL THE GOD OF MIRTH!

How long will it be before we stop all of this squabbing on H2G2? How long will it be until people realize that taunts are made i the spirit of FRIENDLY competition, not spitting in your face I'll kill you competition. Good Lord. In this conversation, we see all sorts of conflicting viewpoints, that we have a right to express. WHy are getting upset about any viewpoints expressed. If they disagree with yours, so what, what harm can they do to you in this forum or any other. We can get in a debate here about a ruthless dicator, and maintain civility and decorum, and yet we can't we just talking to one another as human beings? What is wrong with any of us? Cannot people simply realize its just random data spewed out onto a page?
(Sigh)

Sometimes people take thigs too far, Hjik.
It's one of the major failings of human nature, really.
Someone gets hold of an idea, they get all riled up about it, and then they let it take hold of their life in general.
(e.x, the upcoming war, or possibly even one's own self-ego,)
My advice is simply this: just don't take it too personally when someone freaks out at you. They are confused, and usually quite silly.

*Looks back at God of Mirth bit*
Yes, the self-ego bit is particularly poignant.
Ever seen kids get hold of an idea? Alternatively, read Lord of the Flies.

...And a bad one at that...
Anyone for a drinking song...?
*sings*
Hey ho to the bottle I go
To heal my heart and drown my woe
Rain may fall and wind may blow
But there'll still be
Many miles to go...

Ever read Lord of the Flies? That's what happens when people take hold of an idea to seriously.

What the 'ell happened? One minute, no posts, next minute, there's loads of 'em.
Not a drinking song, just sounded like it followed on naturally. It's something by The Coral, I think.
