Here are a few possible London venues for the afternoon event, with an indication of special events (if any) that are occuring on that day as well. If you can think of others, please let me know!
I suggest:

Two quick observation, The Soane museum is within very short walking distance of the pub we're meeting at.
It would be a very good idea to book in advance for the Terracotta Army at the British Museum.

The one super one is at Somerset House. And it is FREE
I hope that I shall be able to come this time.
In haste. Incidentally I have a new name
Radiantjoiedevivre but I unfortunately have not yet found my number.
I shall be coming with my son as I need someone to push my wheelchair.

If I make it there early enough I'll do the Soane's Museum, I've been before seeing their Hogarth's is rather breathe taking. So, you can take that as vote for Soanes if you like.

folks, as HooTooers have been voting for their preferred venue, I'll keep it open until the 5th October, and work on the one with the most votes, holding my own as a possible casting vote in the event of a tie, if that is ok...
Although the voting does seem a little thin on the ground, I'm sure we can make it a good event!!!
