What is it with adeertisers at the moment? Every other ad on tv seems full of fake science technobabble stuff.
OK, so I think it's a great idea not to think your audience are stupid. But still....
What exactly *are* "collogen biospheres" and "bifidus digestivum" anyway? Sounds so made up.

Have you read Ben Goldacre's book Bad Science? I recommend it. He has a chapter on the science of the cosmetics industry.

I'll have a look for it. They do seem to got for the "blind-them-with-science" avertising at the moment. Suppose girls in bikinis on the car bonnet just doesn't work as well anymore.

Yeah. There's a difference between intelligent talk and bluff. They should give us scientific backup in ads, but some of them make it so obvious they're bluffing it.
