Was my thermostat shrieking in frustration. In the last four days the setting has been cycled through dehumidiy, cool, fan only, heat, dehumidify, heat.
This morning the projected low was 34F for tonight (on the television). On the drive to work the radio announcer said 'low tonight 29F'. Thankfully, the rain stopped, this morning. But, it's colder than I was expecting.
According to NOAA, tonight's forecast is now:
Tonight: Clear, with a low around 26. Calm wind.
Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 55. East wind around 5 mph becoming calm.
Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 32. Calm wind.

Yes, that's a ratherlarge temperature range. The mercury in your thermometer must feel like a flea on a griddle.

Yep, it's got motion sickness from all the hopping.
Add to that, my boss will set the heater about four degrees below where I set my air conditioner.

It is said that in Minnesota, where the winter temps get well below zero, it's warmer in your freezer than it is outside.

That's possible. Commercial ice cream freezers are set around -19.
Not sure what our freezers are set for at work. The walk in refrigerator is supposed to be 40 or colder. The kitchen has gas stoves, so hand warming after stocking the walk in is pretty easy.

I'm guessing that the refrigerators we have in our homes have freezers that are set in the 20s. But when it's minus 30 outside, plus-20 is apt to seem pretty warm.
Key: Complain about this post
