The Tigers won again. This is the first time they have been 10-0 since 1958. There are still three more games. Homecoming was a 'purple' night.
The moon was a huge, low, orange harvest moon. I have a that is fussy about storms. He also makes a fuss at sunrise and sunset. He is not as loud or as long winded as he was a few months ago. Sometimes, a possum, raccoon or neighbor's dog is hanging around getting into the trash can and that sets him off with the really loud meowing. It's a toss up between him and the last dog I had as to who was louder. I think it's still the dog, but he didn't bark at the moon. The however, still makes a fuss at the full moon. I would have liked more sleep than I had last night. So glad I didn't have to work today.

LSU Tigers (football)...
When I was a child every Halloween at the end of the six p.m. and ten p.m. news broadcasts (back when news was Vietnam and Watergate), the local news broadcast would include a replay of a play from the LSU vs. Ole Miss game in 1959.
This play: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GIHdlAg4Uic The local news didn't include the intro, just the play. The video is worth watching because it explains the rivalry and the importance of that particular game. That play was replayed every Halloween until 1982 when the runner was arrested on counterfeiting charges.

I've always been told to think of it as "just a game." Taking it too seriously leads to craziness. All right, all right, I was part of the crowd that wanted to see the "curse of the Bambino" lifted from the Boston Red Sox.
So, I'm a little crazy myself. But nobody's perfect, right?

As for the full moon: I can usually see the moon from the window next to my computer, but I can't see it tonight. Probably too many clouds in the way. It's been raining....

I go outside to star gaze most nights.

Does that mean you rarely have a heavy cloud cover?

It means there are nights when the sky is a bit obscured. Makes the other nights nicer, I suppose. Still, it's a bit of fresh air.
