What a lovely drop of sunshine today - makes all the difference

It seems a good time to announce that I am to become a Grandma in the Summer. Sadly not as hands on as I'd like as the new baby will be 6,000 miles away 
Perhaps I can read bedtime stories by Skype...

I've only got two offspring, and I'm 4-up in the grannyhood stakes!
Teasswill, I'm sorry they are so far away. All of mine are within 10 minutes walk of my house, but I have friends (and relatives) with their grandchildren half way across the world, and I cannot imagine what it would be like to be in that position. Skype is no substitute!
Disorganised one! Teasswill is right. I am not a betting person, but I lay odds that with six offspring it's bound to happen sooner or later and probably in abundance!

I never had maternal urges until the babies actually arrived. But I'm quite keen to do it second hand as it were.
Mind you, family can live closer & still be distant...

Some friends of mine resorted to removing the internet to make their son get a job. Up till then he'd been 'earning' enough to cover his entertainment & the modest sum requested towards household costs by playing poker online.
The recession hits there too - less people willing to lose money by gambling...
