springborne
winter hauls herself away
her sterile skirts like glaciers
gathered up, retreating
we're born in green and sleep here
as the in–between that freezes
keeps the ends from meeting
the sun buried boils the soil
of incandescent hills
hiding there sought solar solace, steaming streams to clouds
roused from hibernation
grows the rows for new beginnings
March to regeneration
spring sits king–like on his throne
crowned in sun and gowned in amber
'til the end of the world
our gift to you
is your gift to us

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
