Here's my latest alkyd painting of roses. I sure like alkyds. They handle like oils, but dry faster.

WOW! You're getting better and better and better and better. These are beautiful. Good structures, lovely vibrant colours. Real personalities in the portraits. There's a lot of hard work here. Do you need an agent

What great work! I just inherited a few of the oil paintings my grandmother did ... another reminder that I want to do a bit of painting myself.

The 
right in the foreground is particularly well done, IMO, very textural, you can almost feel it.
How long did the painting take to complete? Didyou work from RL, do sketches, take photos or what?

Hi Terri!
The painting took me two years to complete. Of course, I was working on a few other paintings at the same time. I did a previous rose painting from Real Life. This one, however, I did from a photograph, after making some little color studies.
