Two whole weeks ago? I really must give the various threads more than a cursory glance...& I suppose spending a bit more time here at hootoo might be a consideration. But, yes it has been awhile!! Hope all the health issues get sorted!

Hi Sho. I've lost some weight, and am holding steady at my current weight. I need to listen to the CD a lot more though, the diet one and the sleep one. Still having insomnia issues.

Hi, Jabberwock! Glad you're keeping up with what I'm doing! I'm on a gluten free diet now, which seems to be working out well. I've lost a little weight. Most of my family is celiac, so it's probably wise to continue to avoid wheat for me. (I had some joint pain, and that's gone away) I've been working out at the gym. And I've been cutting back my caffeine intake this week, to see if that improves my sleep.
I'm still painting too. Just finished one of roses. Now I'm going to paint a flaming chalice for the church auction coming up.

Hi Jellen; hope the sleep thing works out; very good to know you don't have apnea at least.
Losing weight may help too; less pressure on lungs & bladder; i find i often wake simply to cough orpee;then thnk "oh, sod it, while i'm upi will sort some things out"...which of course wakes animals up & i re-light the fire etc etc etc; rare for me to get more than 2 hours continuous sleep at night!
It's easier during the day if P is here to sort stuff, but he's away right now, so it's all down to me; plus the new pup is delightful, but needs housetraining, she is doing very well but needs taking outside every couple of hours; i imagine it's rather like having a new baby human!
I find stressful thoughts keep me awake more than anything; but no real way to avoid that;i'm on a very long waiting list for Cognitive Behaviourable Therapy.
I have heard camomile tea can help; personally I don't likethe taste; but it's a natural remedy, may be worth trying?

It's incredible, isn't it, what a change of diet can do for you?
