Oooowww!
Ellen Started conversation Jan 22, 2003
My doctor put me on a new medication. He warned me that I may experience "some flushing" and that I might "feel a little hot." First 5 days on the medicine, and I'm not having any side effects. I'm thinking, piece of cake. Well, tonight I took the medicine, and my skin HURTS. It feels like the sunburn of the century. I don't feel hot, just my skin is burning and itching like crazy, like someone poured acid on it. I'm getting off this medicine tomorrow, even if it means I have to exercise more to lower my triglycerides. That's what the doctor suggested in the first place, and I should have listened to him. But he didn't tell me the side effects were gonna HURT like H*LL.

Aow! Yes, more exercise, less medication...
I have a stiff neck today, hurts like hell too, but I haven't got any painkillers on me...

Hi Greta. It gets even better - now I'm throwing up! *roll eyes* I might as well stay on for a while, there's no way I'm gonna be able to sleep.

My neck is nothing compared to your apparent allergic reaction to the medication... I'll be OK with a painkiller or two. I'd be better if I could lie down and not have to sit up in the office.

The "flushing" is supposed to be "normal", but it's way too severe for me. I'm feeling a little bit better. I stopped throwing up, and my skin hurts less. Maybe I can go to bed soon. Would be nice. It's 5am here.

non-narcotic but folks are getting *stuck* on it ~~~IMO a short term course is best for that one~~others might be better if you have long term muscle problems that are not going to resolve themselves.* also 2 inches shorter than I should be*

I wonder how much taller I would be if my scoliosis got better? Mind you, it's hardly there, and I'm already 6ft anyway
Will take one pill after dinner, no more no less.

You know I`m glad mine went un-detected-My mom would have handled 8 kids w/glee-that much hyper-energy. I`d have had to be in a body-cast to straighten my spine during high school-never! High school was bad enough as it was-college was so much better! But I waited until I was 25 to go to college-worked in Nat`nl parks. Neu-
