Are there any plans to include the States in SOP? I'm American, so I'd like to know...

You've not read the backlog, then, I take it...
Unfortunately not, though...

Lucinda, that's *the* licence fee, as in the people who fund the BBC are the licence fee payers.

*looks far far off into the remote and unlikelier future*
The bbc has a worldwide presence - world famous for it in in fact - will there one day be a BBCi office someplace over the pond, with a DNA office in the basement, recieving and surviving on membership subscriptions from americans all happy to be part of SOP-UnitedSA, in much the same way that many public domain radio stations survive today?
_Maybe_ one day americas time will come.

*gets back to matter in hand*
Is there a way to refer to all the sense of place skins collectively within GuideML, or do you have to refer to them seperately? (I have a skin toggle at the top of U191190 and would like to have the sense- of-place skin available aswell - if I want sense of place users to visit, look at the page in the 360 skin, then nip back to sense of place, do I have to do a link for each sense of place site? )

They are all separate sites, so you can't (for example) use skin=something to change skin within SOP because each site has a single skin. You have to change the site name in the URL.

Understand that there is a hierarchy to the skin thing: DNA is divided into sites, each site has its own skin(s). You can see this in the url:
/dna/site/[skin/] (the []'s mean optional)
Just to illustrate the point (with in example discovered in this thread, I think):
Since the SOP sites are each technically separarate sites (different names after '/dna/'), each one technically has its own skin, even though they're duplicates. Practically it doesn't matter, but because skins are bound to sites each one needs its own copy.

There's forming and training editorial teams that has to happen first. You can't just launch a site without an editorial presence. We tried that and regretted it.

Some of the best acheivements in life are mistakes. Just look at Rap music; I hate it myself, but no doubt it's a success
