Vampires and Garlic

Just a quick thinking point.
It has been well documented for hundreds of years that vampires don't like garlic. [To my knowledge] It has never been documented why. There doesn't seem to be any reason for it.
Four years ago, scientists discovered that certain acids in the garlic can enter the bloodstream and remove cholesterol build ups. This is a fact.
Now I can't see any reason why vampires would be adverse to cholerterol free blood, but it's a coincidence at the least. Remember, although we know garlic cleans the blood, we don't know how.......

thats all nonsense
vampires love garlic they only tell normal people that they hate it so that the normal people feel good and safe.
and then......... I think we all know what happens then.
