I just noticed that there are separate list entries for the Yeti and Bigfoot. Aren't they pretty much the same, the only difference being the continents on which they are found (or not found, as the case may be)?

Well, they have the thing in common that they are probably both some form of ape. But different species of them. The same with the Sasquatch, Yowie and those guys.

AKA Yeti. If you're reading about those guys you should certainly know that.

I can see that The Yeti and Bigfoot are similar, but not exactly the same. However, "Sasquatch" is the Native American word for Bigfoot. They are one and the same. "Bigfoot" is just easier to spell. I've never heard of Yowie. Love the name though.

I thought the Yeti was the abominable snowman, and sasquatch was bigfoot. and maybe yowie is the child of sasquatch and yeti!

How about something a bit more concrete than footsteps and such. Apparently in Russia there is supposed to live some HBH(Hairy Nipedal Hominids) called Alma. They have been said to have been captured now and then. In the 1800's a female of the species was caught. She ended up living in the village and gave birth to(I believe) 4 children with different fathers. She is of course dead now, and they weren't able to find her grave. They did however find the grave of one of her sons, and he had a slightly unusual cranial structure. Some of her descendants are supposed to still be alive. I have more info on this, but it was just to give you a general idea.
