Who I am
Hi, my name is Fran Cook and I guess I've been posting enough to put up a slightly more detailed home entry. I grew up in and around Austin and San Antonio, Texas. I moved to Chicago a few years back and, aside from a few bad winters and the lack of good guacamole, I'm happy with the change. I still have to go back from time to time to recharge though.
I have one of those careers that hasn't really been named yet. I work in education, mostly. I teach at one of the local universities part-time, I'm working on a textbook with my mom, and I do a bit of contract work in computer-based learning.
Ummm, I know there's more to say, but suddenly I feel all coy...
Based on my reading of other researchers' home pages, I should say a few totally cryptic things, so here goes:
My aunt has many cabbages
The fish will swim tonight
Carp eat trash.
And here's a bit of useless trivia:
On any given summer evening in central Texas, you are never more than 70 feet from a feeding bat.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
