I reckon the scouts have found out where he lives enforcing a speedy retreat to Torremolinos (flights daily from Manchester) where protection is readily available. At a price. He is now inventing pasts and CVs for his 'protectors' in payment.

Whether any of them will be able to convincingly live up to a Pin penned past is whole other matter, but them's the breaks.
