how do you set your error pages on a win 2k server

Not sure. Mine is set using a control panel provided by the hosting company.

Do you have your own server set up?

If it's your own server, go to the Internet Information Services programme in Administrative Tools.

Then right click on the Default Web Site icon, or the icon for the site you want to change, and select Properties.

In here there is a tab for Custom Errors. This lets you point the server to different htm pages for different errors.

put this in a text file,

ErrorDocument 404 http://www.mywebsiteaddress.com/errordocs/404.html

and call it ".htaccess"

If you know the names of the other errors, like 403 and stuff for "Forbidden" and stuff..

upload it to the main directory (the one with your index or default file in)
