Where in Texas? 'Cause I'm pretty sure it's possible to get folks all excited and then you'll be going to the completely wrong part of the state...

Does anyone need to warn the pubs?

So the good news is that you're coming to Texas

What's the bad news?

You don't brew enough beer?

I don't brew any beer... but I live across the road from a bar, there's another one being built next door and I can get to several others on the bus without having to make a connection

I keep forgetting how spread out the US is. I took Mr&Mrs Nerd on a pub crawl in Manchester, and we didn't even do half the decent ones, all by foot

It depends where you live. In a big US city that's comparable to Manchester you could find almost as many walkable bars and pubs if you live in the right area, usually downtown, less so in the suburbs, just as in the UK. But in general it's fair to say that it's easier to walk to more pubs in the UK. Or it used to be - I keep seeing pubs I used to know in London and Manchester that are derelict these days (like this one http://pubs-of-manchester.blogspot.com/search/label/White%20Swan%20-%20Green%20Street ), or which have been turned into something like a Tesco Express

It'd be a damn shame if the stained glass panels above the door have gone I've walked underneath that swan many times. Many, many times.

We did a 13 pub crawl last Good Friday. That was an excellent Friday.

Manchester's so close, I really wish at some point we can get a mini-meet there I can actually make (i believe there was one a short whiles back I missed)
