Yep, we're getting dsl
I'm going to be doing scoring for Pearson Educational Measurement *checks non-disclosure... yep, I can say that* the last couple weeks this month, and probably in September, as well. It *can* be done with dial-up, but of course I can process more tests with dsl (and thus get paid more). Plus Yahoo just lowered the price to $14.95 a month--only about a dollar more than we're paying for dialup and CallWave (internet answering machine)
Before our old ISP decided that they couldn't offer services at the price they were anymore, we were paying only $5.95 plus about $4, but since the transition (about which I wrote a huge whine that didn't get posted because Firefox crashed) we're paying (or would be if we weren't changing--the transition was less than 2 weeks ago) $9.95 (the whine was mostly about how we'd be paying more for slower service).

have you been using broadband/fast connection before Amy? It really* is a huge change in speed 
The only bad thing I ever found, was how irritating it was when I was back using dialup with my laptop when at my Dads etc 
I couldn't go back to anything much slower thant what I have now I don't think

When I was w*rking at the Treasurer's Office, I had broadband of some sort there, and there's free broadband at the Overflow Coffeeshop as well, though I dont't get to use that much, because when I try to, I end up having to chase Faith around
