After what could be way too much researching, I think what I thought was a late, weird period is something else entirelysmiley - erm

I know I've thought that before, but my hormones were still a bit weird after weaning Faith completely, so my cycle wasn't steady again yet. Plus there was a possibility of birth control failure during our trip, which, counting on the calendar when my period kept on not coming (ended up being a week and a half late--3 more days, and I was going to get a test, partly because of lateness, partly because I was feeling weird), fell right in the middle of when I should have been fertile.

At least the research has just about convinced me that the spermicide we used the night before my 'period' started probably didn't do anything other than kill sperm.

That's actually another reason I think my 'late period' may have been a miscarriage--normally I can tell my cycle's going to start in a day or so if things are a bit more intense than usualsmiley - winkeye This time, I didn't even manage to lose the headache I had (real headache, before anyone askssmiley - tongueout)

Amy, my eldest daughter Jodi, had a lot of similar difficulties, or problems as yours. She is fine now, I think. Somehow or for some reason, Jodi found it easier to discuss female problems with me, her Dad, than with her Mum, and would more often come to me for advice and help! Odd, I know but...
By the way, my youngest daughter, Kylie, has just joined hootoo. Her user name is Hermoine1 and she is in the final stages of moving to her new house, so perhaps you may like to chat with her as well...smiley - smiley

The only thing that I know for certain about women's anatomy, ways and cycles is that there are no two alike. And even one alone will see differences due to circumstances at a given time. And not unlike Steve, my daughter has always been totally open with me, while not bothering to query her mother about anything. Heck, her mother still truly believes that she cannot deliver 'boys' because she is missing some part, and conception can only happen with orgasm.

I could be open with Mom about such things (Dad, too). Of course, that's a rather moot point now, since neither lived long enough to know their granddaughter...

Interesting misconceptionssmiley - erm Though she's close on the orgasm one--your chances of conceiving are higher with one (and it's rather difficult to if the male doesn't...)

I over-heard the ex-Mrs with a number of her girl-friends, all when they were about 25'ish. Giggling that no way THAT was when they caught, because it wasn't that good. I don't understand the chemistry, myself. smiley - erm

Ah, in that reguard. I was pondering more of the fluidic considerations and responses. Still, I think their ideas were really a LOT more simplistic. smiley - laugh

In any case, the one true chance that we apparently had ... after reparative surgeries to reposition collpases portions ... She was ordered back to work prematurely, felt horrid tearing and experienced the heaviest time of her life. The smiley - doctor later guessed that she may have 'caught', and then lost. That last 'tearing' was the final straw, and she was no longer deemed repairable. smiley - sadface

Fortunately for me, my daughter has grown past the point of "knowing everything" and "Dad knows nothing". And realized that not only do I know some stuff, I can out-clever/evil-doings/tricky-stuff her. smiley - evilgrin

And when in doubt, I do always have embarassing photos of when she was not so mature. smiley - whistle

Well, your secret is safe with me. You can hide them in my shed if you wish, next to mine, which are lagoon blue.
