That problem I'd been having with my gs has been fixed!

OK, so those of you whom I only communicate with through here haven't been affected at all, as I'd go back and remove all the random gs from my postings before posting them (at times, there were more gs than real contentsmiley - yikes) But those I IM with know very well that I didn't often bother editing them out there!

Before anyone says 'See, told you the keyboard must've been filthy!' I used up half a can of air and shook the keyboard upside down, and the gs were still there. Not *quite* as bad...

So we invested a whole $4 on a refurbished keyboard, and just under $5 on a converter connector thingy (evidently we got one of the last keyboards with this type of end...) Now we just have to get used to this keyboard. It's a bit mushier feeling than the old one, but it feels a bit like my work one used to, so it's not too bad... AndI've a long backspace key finally! Now I won't keep hitting the key next to it accidently...

Sionce even with sales tax we spent less than $10, I won't feel too stupid for getting a new keyboard if this machine goes pfft foreversmiley - sadface (Thing restarted itself *twice* in less than 2 hours tonight.) If it does die, I'll try to either get to the library, the copy shop (much closer, but not free) or else call one of the many folks whose numbers I have and have them pass the news on...

*rolls eyes* I must be more tired than I thought--this was going to be a *short* onesmiley - laugh

If your computer does give up the ghost, you could do with having a mini-meet/seance to allow it to still send messages. smiley - winkeye

Is there anybody there? smiley - ghostsmiley - winkeye

The really annoying thing was that I'd get gs in the middle of words without gs, but would have to go back and insert gs so that smiley - biggrin would work, instead of coming out

Why on earth would I want a challenge in the activity that helps me relax?smiley - huh

Besides, you can ask Amy or Marv--the gs were pretty bad on MSN... Made it downright indecipherable at times!
