Since you're not ordering me to cheer up, Titania, that's fine Tell me good stuff! Or else I could just wander over to your journal probably...
When it's just 'normal' bad stuff, listening and offering s can help, I know... Heck, when I whine on here, and get listened to and hugged, I know I feel better... But it wasn't 'normal' stuff yesterday, although it was something all too common, if that makes sense Kam and Serephina have a pretty darn good idea what set me off yesterday. (Don't you feel guilty about that as well, Kam! How I deal or don't deal with things is my choice, just like how anyone deals or doesn't deal with things is their own choice.)
Oh, yeah Paul, that helps *lots*
Plus I think the all of a sudden scramble for health coverage, and wondering about our finances, and some other stuff I'm not going to discuss right now (and depending on how that particular thing gets resolved, I may not need to... But if it gets resolved in the way I don't particularly want, I'll tell all since it'll be a major change that would even affect visitability) probably hasn't helped much... Not much anyone can help with, unless someone can give us a winning lottery ticket or something...

And it was probably for the however-many-millions-of-dollars-it-is-now and not just a $100 scratch-off, huh?

I'm about as likely to buy a lottery ticket
as Woody Allen is to shoot a moose.
(I was going to say, "As Ray Charles is to drive a bus,
but I saw a movie where he was doing that, so I had
to give up on that )

Same here--with my luck, I'd end up wasting hundreds that we don't have trying to win millions... So I save the hundreds, and complain. A win-win situation

I prefer to divert my disposable income to
the casino known as the stock market.
There have been a few hairy moments, but no
outright disasters.
Maybe I should stockpile cat food in my cellar for
my golden years just in case, though.

Amy
Have a bit of
It can raise the endorphin levels a bit.
Perhaps you might care to emulate the man who was so upset at reading of the dangers of smoking that he gave up reading.
Have you ever been away from the news for a day or so on a trip and been surprised that the world survived without you?
Seriously - if the news is getting thru to you a bit, try being an ostrich. Oh dear. I've just had this mental picture of you being an ostrich and feeding the bairn at the same time

What Tom said...
The Ostrich is African... though i think the putting the head in the sound thing was a Disney invention...

But that would mean I'd either have to stay away from h2g2, or else unsubscribe from some journals for awhile... And do you know how much backlog I'd have if I did the first one Nah--I'll just vent before it gets too bad, like I did last night. I can't let it get as bad as I have in the past (for instance, before I found out I was pregnant) because that wouldn't be fair to Faith.

It works for me too, and I was going to say so earlier, but my browser crashed when I clicked 'Reply'

I know. That's why the request is so unreasonable... It was just not a great day. I'm not going to go into it now, but if you're interested, take a wander through my Friend's List--especially through the Ss...
