I actually had a worry that I *didn't* whine at you guys about, since there was nothing any of you could actually do, but now that it's been alleviated, you'll get to hear the good news
Anyway, I finally remembered to call Kaiser to verify some information. Turns out my copay for PaperBaby's birth will be absolutely nothing! That's right, $0 That's a definate load off our minds, financially. And I found out today that, with NDI and how my group's premium payments are timed, we won't be responsible for premiums until October! That's a huge relief as well

Hmmmmm.
That *sounds* like good news, Amy.
Tell me, though: is this going to be
the six-minute delivery plan that gets
you out of the bed before you even
get it warm?

~~checks the fine print in Amy's health insurance plan~~
No, it's a much better deal than that. She has a full 12 minutes allowed for labor, 3 minutes in the delivery room, 43 seconds in recovery , and 15 minutes to rest up before she has to change the sheets on her bed for the next patient is admitted.

Oh, I'm certain it won't worry her a bit.
I'm sure she's a very organized person, and if she has a schedule, she'll stick to it.

'I'm sure she's a very organized person, and if she has a schedule, she'll stick to it.'
Who?
*looks around*
ME???
If I were organized, I would've found this out months ago
But I do already know (and posted in another journal, I think) that you're not kicked out, and that the average stay post partum is 24-36 hours for a vaginal birth, and 2-3 days for a c-section. And if I, for some insane reason, want to come home early, the minimum post partum stay is 12 hours (assuming PaperBaby is doing well, otherwise no way).

You are an organised person my love
When I went into the maternity home (admittedly a month early as my first amd second sons were born at eight months), I did not have my suitcase packed, I had not finished making the clothes, I had not....
In fact I was NOT organised!!.
Thinking of you lots,

Pack... Yeah, I should do that pretty soon here, huh?
*phew*
Lady Scott Posted Jun 20, 2003
Pack? What will you really *need*, anyway? They'll give you a lovely designer gown to wear while you're at the hospital.

Actually, a friend of mine gave me some shorty pajamas that I need to cut the tag off of and wash... And I also need to get some slippers (I have a couple of pairs, but they're warm, and so not exactly usuable this time of year...) I need to pack toiletries, of course... And something to leave the hospital in...
