Why hello, Tommy Girl...
Hmm...sounds like a funny little story. On film, you say? What are you using for the --ahem--fairy? And is there a possibility that this film might make its way to the online world?

the fairy is played by a friend of mine, katie.. she is wearing this magnificent costume my director made for her.. some of the beads are strung with dental floss, if you can believe that..
As for the online thing.. probably not.. I think if I were to put it online that would be a breach of contract.. However, if you want to come visit me you can see it..
So how are you doing, Wes? How's the lady?
-Pete (still masquerading as Tommy Girl-- shh don't tell!)

Well, seeing as how in all probability I will never visit you, I'll just have to imagine the video. For what purpose is the film being created? A film festival? Just for the fun of it?
The lady...yes, the lady is doing just fine. Despite my younger brother's foulest intentions, we're doing just fine. *eye twitches as Wes recalls the better part of an hour it took to say goodbye to her last night due to some major interference by aforementioned brother*

We're going to enter it in a film festival called Cinequest and possibly some local cable TV and whatnot... It was made for a last bang with my friend who is graduating soon...
Oy..brothers are a pain in the behind.. Sorry. I've two, I understand.. I hope things get easier soon...

Well, he's not *too* hard to bribe. We got rid of him (for two minutes...) that night by allowing him to hide my glasses. Heh. Fair trade, I say. The glasses just get in the way...

Yes, in person. It's even worse telephonically....either the other extension to the phone line is seized, or the "page phone" button is used. That gets really old after a while, I hope you know. Really old. Oh well. I guess I should be glad that he's so jealous for my attention...
You like your brothers "today"? What does this mean--you didn't like them yesterday?

What's up, Wes?
Been opening my show, hence the absence.

Ooooh, what show? (Too lazy to hop over to your space to see if you mention it there.)
What's up? Well, I had a speech meet last weekend. All right, I've been complaining about it to everyone in real life (or virtual life, if one h2g2 school of thought is to be believed) SO now I can bother people on the Guide.
All right, here it goes. In a round you give your speech and get ranked from 1-8 against the other seven competitors. (One is best.) There are four normal rounds that everyone competes in, then a finals round for the top eight to see who gets first, second, third, so on. The normal rounds have one judge (and therefore one score), but finals has three judges (so your rank is a composite of the three scores they give you).
Okay. So I did well in the normal day, scoring two 1's and two 2's. Then in finals, I got a 1, a 2, and a 3. Except it wasn't a three. You can see on the sheet where the judge decided to cross out 3 and circle 7. 7! I could understand a drop from 3 to 4, or maybe 5, but 4 whole rankings? I don't know what I did to lower his estimation of me.
Anyway, even with those scores I took third place. I know that's nothing to gripe about, but with a 3 instead of 7 I probably would have taken first. Oh well, I guess I have to live with what I get. And that's probably been enough whining for now.
And we get to do another one all over again this weekend!

*giggle* Well, it's an original piece called "Bye, Bye bin Laden"
Auw... That's terrible! Maybe the judge forgot what the system was or something equally foolish. I'm sure you did an awesome job!
I hope you have fun when you do it this weekend!
s and s,
Cass

Yup...I had fun on the weekend. Got ninth-ish place out of 84 or so. I say ninth-ish because I was *this* close to making it into the final round of the top eight, so I don't know exactly how I did. But I did well; that's what matters. Yay me.
And Thanksgiving went well too. Had lots of people come and invade our house, eat food, play charades. Then they went home and so here I am at 1 AM on the Guide. I should get sleep sometime...

And your Thanksgiving? It was fine as well?
Now that it's over it's homework time...I managed to get out of homework in all classes except English. Grrr....it just *had* to be a big project on the weekend when we're supposed to relax. Oh well. I've managed to complete most of it already, thanks to my remarkable Heather abilities.

My turkey day was spent... watching my mum and aunts get drunk. But it was amusing enough, and I got chocolate pie!! :D
Chocolate goes a long way towards peace of mind with me. Lucky I just made chocolate mousse then, eh?
Ick, Homework! I need to do that too.. Yay, you! Heather?
