Well, you'll have plenty of catching up to do, I'm sure.
There are absolutely loads of posts to read about how quiet it is, for a start.

Personally I'm in favour of Wilma getting a University Researcher's Badge, based on 5 entries written about Lebanon. What do you think, GB?

I'm not so sure. Doing a University project is a different discipline from writing entries and putting them through Peer Review. It requires more work and more thought.
Have University badges been given out for other non-University work?

You're right to say that a project is more than a group of entries on similar topics. If you chose 5 of my entries at random about the Isle of Wight, they wouldn't make a coherent project. Similarly I've written more than one entry about 'Doctor Who', which you’d think is a narrow subject matter, but even there an entry on Doctor Who Hats, one on Doctor Who novels and one on episodes don't naturally flow together as a project.
But then, there are other projects, and entries that retrospectively were converted into projects, which at first glance don't naturally flow either.
The rules regarding University projects changed over time too (but then, a degree of change is natural). Originally a project consisted of 3 entries, later it became 5 and to qualify for a badge you had to substantially contribute to at least 5 when originally anyone involved would get one.
So for now, on reflection I'm content to leave things as they are, but I do think it is important to ask the question about how to choose when you do and don't qualify. Often asking the question is more important than the answer you get.
