G'day.
I'm in Canberra most of the time, but I turn up in Sydney every now and then; the Carlisle in Newtown is one of my favourite pubs, so I'm a bit annoyed at missing the chance to hang out in it...
Anyway. Yes. Count me in.
Now if only I could think of something to research... Not that I'm in a rush. I might as well settle in first.

Howdy woolfcub, welcome to our little section of cyberspace...
...I've only been to Canberra once in my life, for about a week (My best mate recently moved up there)...
...but if it's any consolation, I've only been to Sydney once, for about 12 hours ?

Hi Tanzen. Home for me is actually Adelaide, even though I've been in Canberra for four years. It's all a bit odd; I get the feeling of being at home, but not at home, in Canberra, Sydney and Adelaide these days.
A week in Canberra can seem a long time when you're just visiting; it was only when I was obliged to move here that I realised there's a lot to the place. Four years, and I'm still getting the hang of it. It is rather a strange joint. And Sydney is a handy place to bolt to when I need a fix of crowds and smog and old buildings and reality.

Hi Linus. Perhaps I'll start off with a bit of journal. I need to get used to this keyboard; there's a bit of tension between it and me.

I liked it in Canberra...I spent my days (while she was working) catching buses...
...maybe I'm just easily pleased ?

Oh, but Canberra buses are exciting things. First there's the uncertainty of whether or not a bus will show up; then there's the startling ways a single bus route can double back on itself for no good reason... It's possible to get anywhere in the city, as long as you don't mind going the long way around... and around... Curse those roundabouts. You'd have seen most of the place without even trying.

See it didn't bother me where I was going to much....I knew the bus would eventually take me back into Civic (or at least to another place that would )...so I spent all my time looking at trees through windows...
...I was actually up there when they had that thing with the fireworks thing...that was pretty cool ...
