Oh well,It looks like h2g2 is very ill. One of the things that made it good for forums was the ability to link in external sites, so that you could then check them out for referencing by entry. Not any more. Along come the vogons from bbc online and h2g2 and demolish this useful service to make way for corporate party lines. Oh well, perhaps it will get a good wake when they do nothing to improve it.

what a shame. I saw this site talked about on some tv show this morning by douglas adams himself, but perhaps it was some last ditch effort to get people interested. I certainly was. Then you get here and find all these bored people suggesting you go somewhere else.
What's the story???

The story is an ongoing evolutionary sorta thingy.
Yeah right now, Some-People are grumbling like they got outa the wrong side o' bed and their OJ is warm and the maid is wearing long pants... But Life is an ongoing struggle, so persist and persue. Don't be daunted by a the nay-sayers.
And hey! I'm one of them.

The story, as you put it is that before christmas, this was a free (as in speech) systm, now, we have a slight problem with very keen censors walking all over the system with their jackboots and black uniforms. (did you get the reference, moderators, if so, try and act a little less in character). As you can imagine, quite a few of us miss being able to point to a website without it being deleted, or being unable to include our pictures anymore. But do please stay and enjoy the fun, as if they keep it up for too long things are likely to change a lot.

Yes I agree. This site is not as good as it used to be. It all happened when my friend (who I shall not name) joined the BBC and started mend things that weren't broken.

I will not ask you to name your friend, but I will ask youto get him to readsome of these censorship posts. Then perhaps he and his friends can take of their jackboots, and join in the fun.

Yeah, I even heard the 'light-at-the-end-of-the-tunnel' was being turned off to save energy.
