I was the first!

The first what?
When was I first?
Where was I the first?

No Goole or Wiki.

Yes, there are the inevitable tripwires!

Could you be just a little bit less specific?

I was Louis Bleriot, first aviator to cross the Channel, around 1909, North of France. And my moustache provoked jealousy of many a Russian aristocrat.

The first marathon of Jerusalem? It was like a week ago, and in Jerusalem.

By the way, this is a good reason for the British to switch to metric instead of miles: the marathon is 42km long smiley - towel

(And I'm not sure that googling "first" would be of much help smiley - winkeye)

Nope Toybox, Googling 'First' is no help at all!!

That is why I am devious. Googling helps later on, as we come close to the answer!

Marathon though has gained you a smiley - bluelight -5....

Fishing? Oh no, just trying to move the Schmilblick forward. But we still need a bit of information!

So this first something was the way it was done that was new. For example, people used to play the "Jeu de paume" in the, er, long ago (18th Century?), and one day it became tennis.

In a nutshell: it wasn't quite new, but the way it was done was a premiere?

Ok now, a company... We do mean a business, not bunch of people? (Company as in, er, Miele, as opposed to the Fellowship of the Rings say.)

So it has to be Citroen.
