Sorry Feisor!

Of course it is van smelter!

Will correct at mark-up time, and delete your klaxon, and give it to him!!

Any ideas on our youngster yet???

As a clue, and this is for everyone, when our youngster was older, he had a little trouble with HM Revenue and Customs.

pebblederook-The old guy wearing surfer beads- what does he think he looks like?

Lester Piggott fits the bill
The year 1952?
The place Newmarket?

L.O. pebbledrook!

Lester Piggott does indeed fit the bill! Correct +3 for that.

Unfortunately though, Newmarket was my only smiley - bluelight on this section!

-5 for that.

It was a little earlier than 1952.

So: What was the year, where was it, and how old was young Lester?

Ooooo close van!

My rule says give date if within 5 years, so you get the points for 1944

It was actually 1948! Correct +3

Now. Where, and how old was young Lester??

pebblederook-The old guy wearing surfer beads- what does he think he looks like?

As I trust you implicitly and you said that Newmarket was the only smiley - bluelight I'm going for some cheap points.

Kempton Park and can I resubmit 1952 as a year within 5 of the correct answer. smiley - smiley

pebblederook-The old guy wearing surfer beads- what does he think he looks like?

Also if he was 18 when he won the Derby which I recall was 1953??
then he was 13 or 14 when he won his first race (depending on the relative positions on the calendar of the race and his birthday).
