QI: Less is more

You've caught me out for making a pun that didn't really work (did you not notice my ?) I had thought to post that each QI thread was like a camera obscura but I wasn't sure if threads/rooms worked as a punning metaphor. Now I'm not sure if punning and metaphor ever work together. Answers on a postcard please!

" answers on a postcard"
Reminds me of an obscure fact about 'Jack' Lewis.
I,m minus a PC at the moment as mine blew up so I'm limited in my access until my new shiny ubeaut rig is put together.
I hope to return with a second QI much like my first but with out the structural defects of that one...
(damn, how can anyone seriously work on an 8 inch notepad?)

Interesting question.
I've given it serious thought overnight and this morning I have had one of those moments and am convinced now that the better part of any good pun is its metaphorical content.

"Simplicity is fun" I'm sure many women would disagree, Robyn, but then you always seem to 'take everything in your stride'!

Simplicity is ace! Tends to bore people who want to live in interesting times though...
Like these mathematically-brained types who want to go getting complicated with stuff like, you know, multiplying by numbers I cant see in my head without losing the start of them...

Is that some sort of feminine product reference? I had no TV for ten years when I was a child so I may have missed it
