Welcome to lurk
Captain Kebab Posted Jul 6, 2001
Ey up all! Thought I'd pop in for an unlurk, and say hello. Having said that, I think I'll just pop off to have a lurk at these new smileys. Isn't it interesting how similar the words look and lurk are?

Thanks E G Mel and Rupert for pointing out that I have to switch to ML mode to get the 'lurker badge' --- And now there is all these new smilies and I haven't even worked out how to use the old ones!
I'll get it together eventually -- too late at night now though. Think I'll go lurk a little before sleep.

Not a problem
Take a look at the smiley page at http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/Smiley (or click here ) for the codes for the smileys.. all you have to do is type the code.

(Waves to all lurkers present, you know who you are)
Please to sign me on to the UH2G2LS, since I have been lurking since summer of '99! (Although, when I finally submit my guide entry will I be required to resign this august body? No worries, I would be a member of the procratinators' society, just haven't quite gotten around to joining them yet. )
Well, off to *listen* here and there. Bye, all!

Hiya SpaceCadette, welcome!
Take your time to write your Guide entry, and even after that you're welcome to stay. The more people listens other people listening, the better. I really hate those "Members Only" kinds of things (maybe I'd like them a bit better if they just would accept me as a member
). As for the procrastinators, I've been meaning to join them too. Maybe someday I might even know how to spell it without looking it up!
