Can I please be a member? 
I have to say that I don't agree with what is written at the page. I lurk very much, but I'm also a very prolific poster, often found at the h2g2 Stats page (http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/info).
Right now, I'm the researcher with most postings in the last 24 hours, but I'm still a lurker. And I know that other of the people found on that list also lurks very much.
Now, personally, even though I post a lot, I don't actually *say* much, but some other researchers both say, post, and lurks much!

Hey Bald Bloke and Ottox, welcome!
Ottox, you're welcome to disagree with me, life would be quite dull if everyone agreed with one another.
I also have a pocketful of Poor Excuses and here's one, custom made just for you: I'm quite terrible at expressing myself. I always forget to mention something I meant to say. I suppose you meant that I mentioned Contributors and Lurkers, but nothing about people who are a bit of both. I'll try to remember to work on that tomorrow.
(Would I qualify as a member at the procrastinators?-)

lets see... omfc is the "official moxon fan club" i believe... lpas... thats sort of one i came up with "lord protector of awkward silence".... hee hee... well, i AM a lurker type....

unremarkable, I'd say you fit right in. Although I'm no stranger to awkward silence myself. I just wonder if I made a mistake with this society: how am I supposed to lurk if I just keep talking?
Ottox, I tried to find the Procrastinators Society but I see that you haven't gotten around to putting a link on your page to there just yet. Figures..
