Hello Mad Beef. Well all you really have to do is ask, and tell us what part of South Africa you're in, but that may be a problem, by the sounds of things, as I didn't know that Europe was in SA!

I'm sure we can solve that problem somehow!?!?!

If you need any help getting around or whatever, please ask, thats what I'm here for, all part of the job description!

Well, I have to admit that you are right about the "Europe not in SA" part...especially seeing that I'm not in "Frankfort" (as in the W.Cape), "Parys", or "Hannover" (as in the E. Cape).

Maybe just see me as a homesick (ag shame, ne?)South African researcher temporarily researching the twists and turns of Europe! "Normally" I'm from Joburg

I used to work for a company that classified SA as part of Europe so maybe that's what caused all the confusion? Anyway can I join although I'm English and living in London I've just bought a house in CT, does that quailify?

WOW! That is shear utter brilliance ! And a BIG THANK YOU just by the way - The formation of the sub-group might just save lots of Researchers originally from South Africa and now in "the place where they are getting permanently rained out" the worries of having to get depressed (from "Rainoia").

Been having probs logging on - had to do some work this week!!!!!!!!

I have a house in CT 'cos I wanna go live there eventually (which could be anything between next year and 5 years time). It's the most beautiful place I've ever seen. My husband used to live in Durban and we have family in the Cape who we've visited many times. We were out there in Feb and the location was right, the time was right and most of all the price was right. We wanted to go back in Sept to watch the whales (whenever I've been out there it's been in the early part of the year) but can't make it so won't be back 'til next Feb.

I think having a section for wannabes is a great idea (am I the first?)
