I would like to recommend this entry, it is concise and interesting and there is not one already in the guide.

This is great, I can taste the Kit Kats! Do you think you should mention the orange Kit Kat - I know it was originally a limited edition, but I think they've reappeared.

Good entry, good entry
Only one thing, I think you should take the "the" out of "star of the James Bond movies", cause it makes him sound like the only one. Sorry, I get fanatical about that kinda things.
By the way, take a look at my name... I really *would* like people to come and nominate some lyrics, response hasnt been to thrilling so far... where else can I advertise?

I have to say that I don't find this article entirely suitable at present. It is FAR too Anglo-centric. A quick perusal of the Nestle history reveals a company that was international from day one, based at first in Switzerland, then relocated to the US during WWII. If this were a British company operating out of Britain and relatively unknown outside of there, the Anglo-centrism would be justified. But that is not the case, and UK citizens are far from the only ones who have heard the demand "Give me a break."

Yes Nestle's is a international company but the Kit Kat chocolate bar was invented by the British Company of Rowntree as stated in the entry! The Nestle Company only took over this brand name when they took over the company. I do not think the entry is bias at all. The Kit Kat is a "national institution" just like "cheese is to the Dutch" The entry is about a British brand name - just as much as the Twinkie chocolate bar is part of American culture......

Hello,
Well, Kit Kats are extremely popular here, as are Milky Ways and Snickers. I suppose you're talking about Twix (not too big), since Twinkies are a sponge cake and not a chocolate bar.
I don't really see that much of an Anglocentric bias in this article. It's true that Nestle is an international conglomerate, but KitKats were invented in England, and do seem to be the most popular there. It's similar to me writing an article about Oreos (invented a mile away in 1913) that mentions mostly the USA. Yes, they're enjoyed around the world, but most of all in the USA.
Yours,
Jake

Sorry My mistake, I meant to say in my reply - "just as much as the Twinkie sponge cake is part of American culture"......
I was just in "Chocolate Bar Munchies Mood" *G*
Thanks

The Kit Kat TV ad featuring the animal lover at the zoo filming the giant pandas was one of the most popular TV ads of all time in Great Britain.
Kit Kats are no longer sold in silver foil and paper wrappers. These have been replaced with a plastic airtight wrapper which is extremely difficult to open if you don't start in the right place, marked by a notch. There is a hidden pull string which slices the wrapper open.

That's strange....the last kit kat I ate was in a paper & silver foil wrapper!
This is a great entry, Whitehorses, thanks very much.

In Ireland, the plastic wrappers are now used. They may not have been introduced everywhere yet, but I fear the days of the foil wrapper are numbered.

We have plasticy wrappers here (although they're super easy to open, and now stringy thing to pull). At first they were just on the king sized ones, but now they are on all sizes except for the mini's (you know, the ones with just 2 bars, like you give out at halloween).

There was also a limited edition plain chocolate KitKat.
This was my favourite and I wish they were still available.
