I only have dandelions and small daisies in my lawn, but I have a lot of them! More than enough to share with honeybees and other pollinators smiley - biggrin

I'm happy to hear your garden is springing into bloom Paulh! Are you feeling healthy now?

Over here, there are plants blooming throughout the year. Coming into bloom at the mo are several species of carrion flower.

I talked to my doctor today. he agrees with me that I need a long and thorough rest. The best chance of that is with getting properly medicated and going to a therapist. Something is driving me, and it'snot my conscious mind. That has to change.

I'm almost envious of your trillium - they are gorgeous flowers indeed, but not easy to propagate or cultivate so I haven't had any success. However, it gives me pleasure to know you have one in bloom just now smiley - biggrin

Yes, look after yourself smiley - tea

I have three in all.Two are blooming now. The non-blooming one had its bud chewed off by a rabbit last year. smiley - grr It came up all right, and has nice foliage, but is taking a year off form blooming.

My trilliums are a gorgeous white. They're holding their own, but not expanding.

I basically planted everything I could think of, hoping that most plants would take hold. Some did, and some didn't.

The ginger in the back yard sprouts and grows quickly in April. It looked a little ratty and less flush last year...I've had fertilizer on the mind for a while but I'm lazy.

My pet Staghorn Fern did get some chopped up banana peels and a fertilizer dunk. It's sprouted a whole new set of basal leaves and ferns this year. I have to keep moving it as the year progresses to keep it out of too much full sun

What other plant is the Staghorn Fern attached to?

Staghorn ferns grow in shady, damp tropical places. They are an air plant...Martha Stua has a page on mounting them on a wall...

Here are some pictures...mine came with the condo about four years ago.

Four or five years ago, I dug up some Dogtooth violets from my father's lawn, and transplanted them to a spot along the north side of my trailer. It takes seven years for these violets to get old enough to bloom. The first year, there was only one blossom. This yea there are three. smiley - biggrin Every year, the little clump gets a bit bigger.

Rain form my roof drips down on the area where I have done plantings. This means that if I want to plant moisture-loving plants, this is the ideal place for them. I've planted Blue Flag irises and swamp Milkweeds under the eaves.

The Solomon's Seal that I planted four years ago continues to expand as well. This is quite welcome, as they have jolly little bell-like blossoms. They're related to lilies of the valley. I have three other species in the same genus, and they all seem to be doing well.

That's because I haven't mentioned the duds. Some stuff basically died, like that ncie little American Plum tree a nurtured for a whole summer after it arrivedon the brink of dehydration. This yea,r it seems stark dead.

Duds are par for the course! It works like that with me as well. I get a bunch of seeds, only some work … I plant some out, only some of those make it. But at least there are plants making it!
