Blake and Viola watched the stars from the balcony, their backs to the planetarium where the memorial service was about to begin.

“There’s something I’ve been meaning to ask you for a long time,” Viola said.

“What is it?” Blake said, turning to her with a fond but perplexed look on his face.”

“How many people know that you’re a secret agent?”

“Hundreds, maybe thousands. Why do you ask?”

“How can your line of work be a secret if everybody knows it?”

“That’s why it’s a brilliant cover. In Badkarmastan, everyone thought I was lying, so they assumed I really *wasn’t* a secret agent. But I really am one, and will keep telling people I am.” He kissed her.

“You know, I was never completely happy about the neighborhood we lived in.”

“You didn’t like Kaput?”

“Don’t get me wrong. Amok looked even worse. It’s just that….”

“Viola, what would you say if I told you a space capsule is about to land in the lake.”

“It’s probably a distant relation arriving for the memorial service.”

“No, more like a close relation. That looks like your father’s work.”

Are you sure you can clear up everything before we enter December?

Which reminds me: In exactly one month I'll *not* celebrate xmas, but I *will* eat roast duck or roast pork or some other fine traditional xmas meal

Yes, I am sure. The last six chapters are already finished and ready to post. Some things will change a lot. Some things will not change at all. Badkarmastan will get very wet, but otherwise stay every bit as unlucky as it was before. Space junk will continue to fall in unpredictable ways and on unpredictable places. The wuheebies will still be mysterious and extremely strange. The potatoes will continue to grow. Moby Dick will continue to sing Sinatra hits. The forests in Litestvia will continue to be a challenge for royal princesses to navigate, though there is no guarantee that there will ever again be a royal princess in Litestvia. You'll have to read further to find out for sure. .
