h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Paulh had just been rescued from a shark-filled swimming pool by Betty Boop and Grampy. The Blob was now oozing into the poolroom, forcing Paulh and his friends to climb a rope that hung from the ceiling. The door opened, and the sumo wrestler rushed in to do battle with The Blob. The Blob, of course, quickly swallowed the wrestler.

"What do we do now?" Paulh moaned.

"We wait for Santa Claus to rescue us," Betty said with a wink. "I hear him coming now."

Sure enough, Paulh heard a distant sound of sleigh bells which was growing louder. There was a sudden thump on the roof, followed by the sound of reindeer hooves. A trap door opened above the rope. Paulh and his friends quickly shinnied down so Santa could climb down the rope. Santa greeted them merrily and introduced them to Frosty the Snowman, who walked over and made The Blob freeze solid with one gesture. Santa handed out ice choppers, and they chopped the frozen Blob into tiny pieces, which they put in a huge bag and stored in the saloon's
freezer.

Santa Claus dropped Betty Boop and Grampy off in Toontown, and then brought Paulh to the North Pole for a delicious dinner with Mrs. Claus and Frosty and the elves....

I can't divulge the details of the next episode, Professor. It's the lead in to the grand climax, though,so
you can count on plenty of suspense.
