A quirky advocacy group with (perhaps) a dark side was planning to
travel from Boston to the Kansas City area by bus, collecting stuff
to be recycled there. Apparently the government didn't care about
recycling, and it was important to get this done. Maybe they were going to have illegal protests of some kind after they dropped the stuff off, but it seemed to me that I could ride along most of the way with them, encouraging the recycling they wanted to do. I got off along the way, and travelled back to Boston. Some of them were not happy that I left, but the bus was getting too crowded as more and more recyclable stuff got crammed into the bus.
[When I think about it in the light of day, ir makes no sense to me that they would want people to stay in the bus anyway. The more people there were in the bus, the less room there would be for the stuff that was to be recycled. Whatever]
