A Conversation for Portrayal of the British in Asterix Books
Londinium?

I haven't read this book in almost 10 years. Is it set before the Roman invasion of Britain? If so, the scenes in Londinium are interesting considering the city didn't exist before the Romans established it!

It's set after it, because Anticlimax's village is holding out against the Romans.
The Romans didn't technically establish London, even if they did establish it as a city: there was a marshland settlement around 3,000 people at the time of the Roman invasion (AD 43). It wouldn't have been anything like the books show, but it did grow rapidly.
