I'm trying to interpret your thread here (you never make it particularly easy, but I love the challenge).

I can't work out whether you're down about the lack of participation on the site, or whether you've been on the wrong end of moderators (I see a hidden post just before this one).

Things have changed a lot over the last couple of years, which goes to explain both of those things. I hope you can stick it out, but you may not find it as easy to exercise your natural inquisitiveness without being the subject of the inquisition.

All is not lost. If you've ever read Asimov, then you'll understand that the 'Second Foundation' is still among us.

Hi CoG.
As for active volunteers, there's about 30 listed. As you realise, we all have busy lives, and most also hold full time jobs. But we're here.
The old gurus have all left their volunteer positions. Many left long before we took over the site from BBC even.
The online counter is seriously broken, so please do not trust those numbers. There are always people online, and volunteers are usually around too, just not everyone at once.
I hope this helps.

Also, all former volunteers are acknowledged, as you have noted. Becoming a volunteer is a process, and you need to be approved by management too, among other things.
