... The Lion King. Pathetic, isn't it?

Anyone else got any really, really stupid ones that they had inexplicable emotional reactions to? (I know you're out there!)

The Wizard of Oz. The bit where she see Auntie Em in the witch's crystal ball and starts crying. Get's me every time.
I win... I really am the most pathetically sentimental person on the planet!

I had to leave a showing of Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs because I was so upset. Well, I was 4 at the time...

I relate these episodes of my life with a deep sense of shame... but in the intrests of amusing others I will admit to crying, in the cinema, at the end of Drop Dead Fred. (That ish sort of a film Rik Mayall made about 10 years ago)

And if that wasn't enough, I also bawled my way through the end of Cool Runnings (The one about the Jamaican bob-sleigh team) much to the disgust of my younger brother.

No, I have no real idea why either! Thankfully that phase of my life seems to have passed now! smiley - smiley

Can I be even sadder (and completely off-topic)? I cried absolute buckets when Gambit told Rogue he loved her in the animated X-Men tv series. Animation! That is so deeply tragic that I'm surprised I can hold my virtual head up here

I dont know what you guys are on but I dont know how you can not cry at the end of Old Yeller... And the only films you cry at are DISNEY films? There is somthing seriously wrong with your emotional chemicals...

This was not a movie I almost cried at, it's a movie I _did_ cry at. smiley - smiley And I'm grown up, too.

And no, Cenchrea, that isn't pathetic. It's my favorite movie, and it's had a strong influence on me.

I think it's a precious thing to be able to be moved, and I was certainly moved to tears, by this one. That isn't pathetic, that's precious.

The strongest guys are the ones who are not afraid to cry (yes, I'm a guy. smiley - smiley ).

As for PyRex's comment, you are wrong. There's nothing wrong with our "emotional chemicals". Many are moved by Disney movies. Like I said TLK is my favorite movie.

I cried in the Lion King, it's not the only film I've cried in though, I seem to get more likely to cry as I get older.
I howled in Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon

I dont know, I just dont like Disney movies, like what they did with Tarzan, and many others, not to say I dont enjoy them, I just find them not very moving, but then I find Monty Python moving (It moves my bladder! smiley - smiley ) I dont know how anyone who has ever had a dog could not cry at Old Yeller, and if you had to put down a dog there is NO way you can say you didnt cry... A little boy SHOOTS his dog... it is SOOO sad!

Hmmm. Yes, I see what you mean about it being precious (not pathetic). I only meant to point out that "grown-ups" are not *supposed* to cry at *kid* movies, and how embarrassing it is when your fellow film-going comapnion turns to you and loudly asks "(insert name), are you CRYING???". (That, and if I had ended my original posting with "Isn't that precious?" it would have sounded like I have serious cuteness-related issues with the thought of my potential sobbing rather than with the movie's preciousness.)

... Simon Birch. A friend told us it was a good family movie, which it was, but after the last scene there wasn’t a dry eye in my house.

When Jenny died in Forrest Gump. I mean, this simple guy lost the one thing in life he had always loved and held on to for comfort.
That's harsh.

I tend to cry to easily at movies/TV. In Star trek II when spock dies, (shoudl I add spoiler space) aged 9. Umm, again at 8 or 9 at the end of batteries not included for some reason. I was pretty choked up at teh end of Gladiator and Das Boot, I was nearly ill at teh end of saving private ryan. I always choke up at teh end of Return of teh Jedi, I probably cry more at TV actually.
