These are *all* the bugs. All of them that have ever been posted to Bugzilla about all and any DNA site. There are some interesting ones in there! I think I might have to add a few more though...

The Bugzilla software was as you say written for the Mozilla QA system, but being open source other organisations can use (such as the pro-OSS BBCi). Now I hope DNA has regression tests, and that some bugs have automated test suites, so that the programmers know what's broken this week.

Bugzilla is just a handy tool that emails people when a bug has been uploaded or updated. We have to use something, and this works fine.
If you have any suggestions for something (very cheap) that works a lot better please let me know... But it has to be non-techy friendly - I'm only a half-tech and so are a lot of people that need to use the system.

I think the only bug-reporting tools I used were custom designed for/by various companies rather than general purpose and widely available.
However, there are a number of people on h2g2 who seem to explore free/shareware sites on the net quite a bit and quite a few who seem to want to work for h2g2 on the computer side and who might design you something. 
If you are at all serious about wanting an alternative (eg there are specific features missing or which could work better) then you should consider posting in the areas frequented by techy people just in case there are some who are not subscribed to your journal. A604937 and A623666 spring to mind as likely locations if Askh2g2 and HowDoI seem too banal.

I'm retired! 
I cheated a lot on the normal age you might expect but I'd made and saved enough money. So now I only do things for myself, friends or charities and schools and not for commercial or industrial companies any more. I tend not to write buggy software and even if I did I wouldn't need to use bug-reporting tools for the purpose on my current scale of just me.
It is people like MaW etc who want to start out in the business and occasionally make half-hearted attempts to get the BBC to give them a job. OwlOfDoom and DoctorMO are also possibilities to ask. I didn't actually compile a list because I wasn't looking to employ anyone myself. They may well have studied a selection of current tools at college/university but I don't really know what their courses would have included. That's why I suggested you ask them.

Oh, I guess that makes you around the same age as me then SEF. I've no plans to retire at the moment though, I really enjoy working, especially in such a young environment, it's thoroughly entertaining.
